What is the Purpose of First Steps?
-
To assist people in applying the principles of God’s Word to their lives
and taking the First Steps toward wholeness.

To focus on practical areas of need in society and the church,
such as healing and understanding between people of
different races and cultures.

To focus on the HOW TO of bringing wholeness.
Who Are We?
Jim and Dawn are graduates of Zion Bible Institute in Providence, RI.
Dawn also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management
from St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, NC.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Southeastern College in
Lakeland, FL, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Fairfield
University in Fairfield, CT and a Doctor of Ministry Degree
from Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary in Tacoma, WA.
Jim and Dawn have three married children and five grandchildren.
Board of Directors
First Steps ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation with oversight by a advisory board of Directors who provide business and spiritual oversight. The current board and officers are:
