News Article: The First Steps Mission

My wife Dawn and I have been married for over twenty-five years and have dedicated our lives to being servants of Jesus Christ.

In obedience to His guidance we have lived and ministered among the wonderful people of Western Alaska in a small community out in the tundra called Bethel. In response to His leading we spent twelve years serving the people of Zimbabwe, Africa and learning to love and appreciate their courage and joy. For the several years we have been back in the United States, serving first as Pastor and now as Professor at a fine Historically Black College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Our passion and commitment can be summed up by the favorite saying of one of our instructors back in our college days at Zion Bible Institute, Rev. Mary Wilson: "Only one life, will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last..."
